Studio Caroline grew out of a firm belief that urban gardens can be beautiful, practical and good for us – all at once.
We bring an exceptional ability honed over three decades to really listen, to advise, to bring people together. We work hand in glove with every client to create their dream garden.

As a country girl at heart and a converted urbanite, I am passionate about bringing nature into cities in a way that you can enjoy at home without compromising on a fully functioning garden for the whole family.

We work with all types of city gardens from small plots to bigger gardens, balconies and rooftops. Clients come to us with requests from advice on a tricky spot, to refreshing a border, to designing an entirely new project. We deliberately limit the number of clients we work with at any one time so we can bring all our expertise to bear for you.

Biography
While my life is in the city, my heart is in nature.
Without a grand plan in mind, I enrolled at the English Gardening School at the Chelsea Physic Garden. It was a brilliant year of study, with exceptional tutors and access to the best practitioners in the industry, as well as on-site visits and practical work.
During that year, I gradually figured out what is important to me. Studio Caroline Garden Design has been created to bring an enjoyment of the natural world and practicality together in urban gardens.

Caroline did a fantastic job transforming my north-facing front garden, which was quite a challenge because of the lack of sunlight and the heavy clay soil.
From the start, she took the time to carefully measure the space, sketch out a design, and talk me through several planting options that matched the colour palette and overall look I had in mind.
