Caroline trained in landscape and garden design after an earlier career in editorial and interiors. The studio she founded in 2018 reflects both worlds — an editor’s instinct for what to leave out, and an interior designer’s attention to how a space is actually used.

She works closely with each client from the first walk around a site through to the last plant going in, drawing on a network of trusted contractors, nurserymen and craft makers. Most projects are within a comfortable train ride of London; some are further afield by invitation.

Outside the studio, Caroline writes occasionally about gardens for the press, lectures at horticultural societies, and tends a long-suffering allotment of her own.
